Learn about accessing data forms and task lists and how to integrate your queries with various Microsoft Office products.

Course Description

Smart View provides a common Microsoft Office interface designed specifically for Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Learn to view, import, manipulate, distribute and share data in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint interfaces.Topics include setting up the Smart View connection manager, member selection and using data forms for entering, calculating and processing data. You'll analyse data using ad-hoc features such as pivot, drill-down, keep only and remove only. You'll find out more about using data forms and task lists from within Smart View and how to integrate queries with Microsoft Office products.You'll also gain experience in writing functions to read, write data and retrieve dimension labels and descriptions. Using functions allows you to develop structured reports with Smart View and Excel functionality.
